Psychologists study individuals and groups to better understand how people, communities and societies function, and devise ways to empower them and help them thrive.

As a member benefit, ZPA members conducting research or supervising a research project can list their project on this site and invite other ZPA members to be involved in the research.

The President's Statement

We work alongside the community

As President of the Zimbabwe Psychological Association, I am proud to affirm our commitment to working alongside communities in advancing psychology as a science and profession dedicated to promoting human well-being and social justice. Our Association serves as the unified voice for psychology professionals, upholding ethical standards while advocating for both our members and the public they serve. Through continuous professional development, research partnerships, and knowledge-sharing platforms, we actively collaborate with community members, traditional leaders, healthcare providers, and policymakers to influence mental health policy and address social challenges. Our collaborative approach recognizes that meaningful progress in mental health can only be achieved when we work in genuine partnership with the communities we serve, ensuring psychological services are accessible, culturally relevant, and effective in fostering the collective well-being of all Zimbabweans.

Our Executive

The Zimbabwe Psychological Association is guided by an executive team committed to professional integrity, cultural sensitivity, and accessible mental health services for every Zimbabwean.
