About

The Societal Engagement Division serves as a vital bridge between the Zimbabwe Psychological Association and the communities we serve. Our mission is to strengthen connections with communities, public institutions, and civil society to promote the relevance and impact of psychology in addressing the most pressing societal challenges facing Zimbabwe today.

We are dedicated to advancing public awareness of psychological science and practice, ensuring that psychological knowledge meaningfully informs community well-being, social development, and policy initiatives across the nation. Our work is grounded in the belief that psychology has a crucial role to play in building healthier, more resilient communities.

Director's Role & Vision

The Director of Societal Engagement leads strategic initiatives to expand the reach and impact of psychological practice beyond traditional settings. This leadership role encompasses fostering partnerships with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and community-based groups, while championing culturally responsive and ethical psychological practice that honors Zimbabwe’s diverse cultural landscape.
