About Us
The Zimbabwe Psychological Association (ZPA) is a professional association for psychologists and psychology students, and individuals with an interest in psychology. ZPA’s role is to represent the professional interests and welfare of its members.
Membership is based on the highest qualification in Psychology starting with Student Membership which is for those studying towards a Bachelor's in Psychology, Associate Membership for those who hold a BSc in Psychology, and Full Membership which is for those who hold a Master's in Psychology or higher.
We also welcome Corporate Membership for organisations that support the practice and advancement of Psychology in Zimbabwe, and Affiliate Membership for individuals who have an interest in Psychology but are not studying towards attaining a psychology degree.
To encourage cooperation and understanding between different professions, interest groups, and stakeholders that professional psychologists work with.
To promote research in psychology by the improvement of research methods and conditions and the application of research findings.
To improve the qualifications and usefulness of psychologists by establishing high standards of ethics, conduct, education and achievement.
To increase and disseminate psychological knowledge through meetings, professional contacts, reports, papers, discussions and publications.
